A US-based Timber Investment Management Organization (TIMO) was under new ownership and had a fresh leadership team, however ROI in the US was declining so the need for a domestic strategy was identified. Additionally, the business had multifaceted inputs to consider, such as impact of emerging markets, acquisition opportunities outside of the US, sustainability requirements, and non-timber revenue such as Carbon Credits.
